While it is often said that money can’t buy you happiness, it is also true that getting your financial house in order and having a clear idea of your goals and how you plan to get there can improve your mental well-being and reduce the stress in your life. And we know that a reduction in stress can lead to better health, and better health leads to happiness.
The Key to Happiness
Perhaps it is the time of year, with Thanksgiving and the holidays upon us, but I tend to reflect more about what I am grateful for in my life. One of my favorite social researchers, Brené Brown, found in her research that there is a link between happiness and gratitude. She found that people who have a daily practice of gratitude are more joyful.
